Penhale Adventure Centre runs climbing and abseiling courses across Cornwall from our base near Newquay.

CLIMBING
Based in the South West, we are surrounded by some of the finest routes in Britain, from the towering sea cliffs of Lands End, the inland crags of Dartmoor to a 60ft outdoor climbing wall. This unique position not only allows us to conjure up great variety, it also means we can be flexible, adapting our course location and content to suit both the weather patterns and your abilities, which ultimately means you get the most from your time with us. During each session you will cover safety aspects, before heading out with a qualified and experienced instructor.

We offer a wide range of courses from novice to specialist. The exhilaration of climbing in a new location will improve your mountaineering skills. Whatever standard you climb at, from novice to expert, these feelings remain the same. The secret lies in seeking out new and exciting challenges.

Our courses are available as one-day taster courses, or as part of a multi-activity adventure training package.

ABSEILING
Using the security of a top-rope system, beginners can quickly get to grips with moving around on the rock face and trying out various methods of safeguarding their climbing partners. However as you get more practice your confidence will grow you will be abseiling down the cliff face in leaps and bounds!

Abseiling is introduced as a fun activity in itself as well as being an important part of the wider climbing skills.
